IRIT: Smart Bike Lock

As bicycles become a more popular means of transportation, bicycle theft becomes an issue that must be addressed if cycling is to become a main mode of transportation. Bicycle theft is an issue that persists despite the lack of a viable solution. The goal of this project is to design, develop, implement, and test a successful anti-theft system for bicycles that is simple to use, cost effective, and has smart features. GPS tracking, phone notifications for movement, siren warnings, barcode setup, Bluetooth connectivity, and a separate app to house all of the above capabilities as well as lock/unlock the bike are all included. A manual method of unlocking the bike, such as a fingerprint unlock or a basic key unlock, will also be required. Because there are various tiers of bikes on the market, there may be various tiers of this bike lock to meet price points and be viable for all types of consumers.

Design Principles & Project Management - Project 1

Morse code system

The objective of this project is to provide the client with a receiver for a point-to-point acoustic morse system. This will be achieved by designing a software that can interpret the morse code from the user’s encoder and transmitter program. The software will then output the audio in the English language. Additionally, the program must transmit data at the highest rate and be compatible with different types of sound cards. It is important that the software is easy to use and seamlessly outputs the audio to the recipient after receiving the input.

Microwave and RF Circuits

Microstrip Circuit Design Project

In this project, I designed a microstrip circuit to realize specific filtering functions and meet the given specifications. To meet the project requirements, we carefully selected an appropriate substrate and justified our choice within the project report. We compared and simulated at least two different designs using ADS, ensuring that the designs had different layouts. We modified the designs as needed to ensure they met the given specifications.

Air Mouse

Designed a product called Air Mouse a device used to accommodate users with limited hand mobility. This product is targeted towards users with chronic pain, DASH and Forearm tendonitis. The Air Mouse consists of a microcontroller alongside a gyroscope to replicate cursor movement; attached to the board is a button that the user can click.

Engineering Design Project 1

Design of a manually operated automata device

A toy that can educate and interest a target audience (children ages 6-12) about potential career paths in construction, architecture, and civil engineering. The secondary target audience is for older ages as this will show how basics systems work together (gears and cams) and potentially inspire them to make their own projects. This concept will be shown through a complex system that entails multiple moving parts. The model will be designed through CAD starting with cams, gears, and shafts which are essential for the animation process of the project. This manual automata display some of the different jobs and the different movements within a construction site.

Engineering Design Project 2

Design of a Face Mask

Design of an efficient, reliable, and modern face mask using CAD. Many factors were to be considered before the design process of the face mask such as the access for easy breathing, secure and comfortable fit to the head, maintenance of shape after washing and drying, and lastly the appropriate size to comfortably cover the nose and mouth without gaping.

Highschool Elective: Computer Engineering Project

LED project

I had an enormous interest in electrical and computer engineering ever since I took the elective course on it for 4 years in high school. Here is a picture of one of the projects I constructed of showcasing LEDs turning on one by one consisting of various components like LEDs, resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, ICs and connecting wires.
